Star Wars Identities
at The O2 Arena
Without a doubt, the original Star Wars trilogy would be my first answer if I had to choose any for a desert island. Of course there are any number of fantastic movies I love out there of sorts of varieties, and I love to explore every aspect of cinema as much as anyone else, but these movies captured my imagination much in the same way it has for so many fans.
Personally though, as much as I love the world immersive portrayed on screen in Star Wars, my appreciation is as equally high if not greater for the craft, technique and talent involved in the making of Star Wars. The level of talent behind the arts in these movies is of such a high level, with a such a passion for imagination and vision, that the artists clearly go beyond their professionalism with a personal creative investment, supporting a Lucas a vision that calls out the best in so many artists.
Getting to see the product of these crafts up close at the Identities Exhibition was amazing, and I tried to capture as much reference material as possible on the design and detail behind these costumes, props and concepts.
